First months being an owner of an etsy shop

"Aller Anfang ist schwer", that was what my grandmother used to say. Everything is hard in the beginning. Like starting this shop and furthermore this Blog. Because i am not a person who likes to write about herself. But that is maybe something i need to do.

I was born in Germany, better to say in Berlin. I grew up in a village close to Berlin and i studied nursing directly after school. I started crocheting when I worked on a psychiatric ward. I think it was because i felt it is nice to finish something, to have an endproduct in your hand, not like with the patients at work. Many of them came back again and again you always start from the beginning, but you never see them feeling well.

So I started crocheting for my own sake and i needed this to slow down life. In the beginning I only crocheted things for myself, like baskets or things I needed. Then i moved to Sweden for work, because i felt i would feel better here (less patients, more salary), but still, I needed crocheting to actually feel more calm and to have time to reflect.

When my sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, I started crocheting baby shoes. I think in the end he had more pairs of shoes than his father. Since then i crochet baby shoes to every baby born to my friends as a "welcome to life" present.

Later on I started to crochet kitchen toys for my nephew, but unfortunately his interest in kitchen toys is not as much as I hoped for. But it was finally my sister, who encouraged me to open an online shop , because she loved the things I made for my nephew. So thats why i am here and I give it a try.
